The basic performance of an agricultural telehandler can be defined by its capacity and the height it can reach from the boom’s pivot point, data that all manufacturers typically use to name their models. Dieci also followed this practice in 1983 when it launched its first telehandler. However, the Emilia-based manufacturer decided to add specific names to these acronyms, referring to the families to which each model belongs. This choice still forms the basis of an offering structured across nine families for a total of 19 models, all customizable to suit each farm’s needs.

The result is a broad and varied commercial offering, spearheaded by the compact “Mini Agri Smart 20.4” models, also available in a fully electric version with the same performance and always boasting impressive external dimensions that allow them to access any enclosed structure and maneuver easily in the narrowest aisles of livestock farms or nurseries.

They are in fact less than 193 centimeters high and 153 wide, with the first dimension also shared by the compact “Mini Agri 26.6” whose superior performance, however, required a custom structure that increased the width to the limit of 186 centimeters. This overall size is nevertheless to be considered modest considering that telehandlers rarely see their widths drop below two meters, especially when the load capacities reach 20 quintals and the working heights reach the six meters offered by the “Mini Agri 26.6“.

It is also available in a fully electric version, a propulsion system that perfectly meets the needs of those who operate these vehicles in environments sensitive to noise and exhaust fumes, emissions that Dieci also combats with traditional vehicles. All the engines used to power the Emilian machines comply with Stage V emissions standards, and particular attention is paid to the design of hoods and cabins. The former are designed to match the design and soundproofing of the engines, while the latter, air-conditioned, are designed to maximize driving comfort by isolating operators using the patented “Zero Shock System” integral suspension.

This solution is already available for the “Agri Farmer” and “Agri Star” forklifts, which together serve as the core business of the sector, covering most agricultural operational needs with models that handle loads ranging from 30 to 40 quintals and offer working heights of nearly ten meters.

The “Agri Farmer” series lifts are powered by 107 horsepower Kubota engines combined with electronically and automatically controlled two-speed hydrostatic transmissions, while the more sophisticated “Agri Star” series features Perkins engines delivering 134 horsepower and single-speed transmissions. In any case, these easy-to-operate machines, one of which, the “Agri Star 40.8,” rivals the performance of the higher-end Dieci models, known as “Agri Plus” and “Agri Max.”

Performance levels are elevated, with capacities ranging from 40 to 75 quintals at heights of nearly ten meters. More importantly, they reach 172 horsepower and performance, delivered by the four-cylinder FPT Industrial “N45” series engines. Both families feature the option of electronically controlled dual hydrostatic transmissions from the “Vario System” series, which operate according to a logic aimed at maximizing performance while minimizing fuel consumption. This is possible thanks to the ability to manage the machines using four driving modes: “Normal,” “Eco,” “Creeper,” and “Loader.”

The cabs are “Zero Shock”-designed, and both the machine and boom movements are effortlessly controlled via electro-proportional joysticks. These configurations are also common to the top-of-the-line “Agri Max Power X2” series lifters, which feature the most advanced transmission developed by the manufacturer, the “HVT-1” CVT, under the hood.

This is a mixed, electronically controlled hydrostatic/mechanical unit capable of optimizing the distribution of engine torque, prioritizing the mechanical over the hydrostatic, thus always ensuring the highest possible energy efficiency. This is also thanks to the ability offered by all CVTs to decouple power delivery from engine speed and ground speed, thus optimizing each of these parameters.

Also Telemetry

All Dieci telehandlers can be configured, depending on the model, using the “DTS” telemetry system (Dieci Telematic System). This allows the manufacturer’s and dealership’s service teams to interact with the machines remotely and in real time to monitor geolocation, performance, and functionality.

it is achieved through a dedicated control unit capable of connecting to GSM and GPS networks, then transferring the collected data to the cloud. This also enables comprehensive monitoring and diagnostics, as well as two-way interventions for electronic systems, such as software updates. The system also acts as a deterrent to potential thieves, as its presence blocks the construction site and alerts the company if the vehicle leaves a predefined area.
